​​​AMARILLO – The Pantex Plant will hire 300 new employees in
the next three months as part of a hiring push to meet increased demand for
work on the nation’s nuclear stockpile.

The new hires will be part of a larger push by Consolidated
Nuclear Security (CNS), which manages Pantex and the Y-12 National Security
Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Over the next 19 months, CNS will hire 1,150 employees, 650
of whom will go to Pantex.

Pantex is looking to fill positions including production and
operations workers, technical and nontechnical trades workers, security
personnel, administrative and support staff, and science, engineering and
technology professionals.

Currently, there are 122 open positions at Pantex, and over
the next 90 days, there will be 300 more jobs posted on Pantex’s website.

Pantex will have representatives at an April 5 job
fair at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex.
