ROUND ROCK - Round Rock Independent School District’s new Middle School No. 11 is underway.
The new school, which is planned to open in time for the 2017–2018 school year, will have a floor plan similar to Walsh Middle School and will include a dance gym and ensemble space in the fine arts wing.
The school is set to cost $34.2 million and aims to alleviate overcrowding at Walsh and Cedar Valley middle schools.
The school will be located on Pearson Ranch Rd., and a decision over the its attendance zone will likely be made in the fall.
