Florida firm puts Sheraton North Houston at IAH deal to bed
HOUSTON – Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental, a 419-room, full-service hotel located at 15700 JFK Blvd. in north Houston, has been acquired by West Palm Beach, Fla.-based The Ecclestone Organization.
Ecclestone bought the ten-story hotel from Driftwood Hospitality Management and Apollo Global Management which delivered in 1983 three miles south of George Bush Intercontinental Airport and 17 miles from downtown Houston.
The selling venture invested more than $15 million in improvements since acquiring the hotel in 2013, which today features 27,676 sf of function space, a fitness center, outdoor pool, Link @ Sheraton lobby workstation, Sheraton Club Lounge and the full-service Drifters Bistro and Lounge restaurant and bar.
