​​FRISCO – Commercial and residential growth is attracting food retailers—several grocers are already in Frisco but at least three more have reserved corners.

1.GBT Realty Corp. has bought 2.3 acres of the 12-acre retail site at Eldorado and Teel Parkways from CMTEX for $1.1 million. Sprouts will be part of a 63,900-sf shopping center that CMTEX plans to open early next year. 
At this rate, Sprouts is likely to beat two others to market:
2. Whole Foods Market announced its Wade Park intentions in February 2014, but there’s no store in sight. At the time, Whole Foods said a 45,000-sf store would open in fall 2015 at Dallas North Tollway & Lebanon Rd.
Thomas Land & Development held a big groundbreaking event at Wade Park in April 2014. At the time, the developer said the first phase of that project, which included Whole Foods, would be opening in spring 2016.
3. H-E-B which has owned land on Lebanon Rd. in Phillips Creek Ranch for a while. There’s no store there yet, but the Phillips Creek residential development lists it on its website under Frisco’s current and future amenities.
