SAN ANTONIO – The shuttered Forest Park Medical Center San
Antonio was sold at auction for $58.2 million.

TCB/Marina Del Sol LLC was the lone bidder for the 54-bed,
150,000-sf specialty hospital building.

The bid fell well short of the roughly $68 million in
outstanding loans the building’s Dallas-based owner owes to Texas Capital Bank
and other financial institutions.

The property is assessed at $94.5 million by the county.

The lenders foreclosed on the property at 5510 Presidio Pkwy.
on San Antonio’s northwest side after the medical center stopped paying its
rent.

The hospital’s operator, Forest Park Medical Center San
Antonio, closed on Oct. 15.

Forest Park continues to hold the hospital
license.
