609 Main next stop for United

​​HOUSTON –​​​ Chicago-based United Airlines Inc. will move its local headquarters into 225,000 sf of Hines’ 609 Main building that is under construction downtown.

The 48-story building will have just over one million sf of spec space. It will be finished next​ year​. 

United Airlines is downtown’s 11th largest employer, with 1,600 employees. Its downtown offices are currently at 1600 Smith St. and 600 Jefferson.
