Walmart Neighborhood Market opens in Spring

​​SPRING – On the heels of announcing that it will be closing more than 250 stores globally, Walmart Neighborhood Market in Spring opened February 17.

The 24/7 store, located at 24809 Aldine Westfield Rd., provides nearly 100 new jobs to the Spring and Klein area.

The 41,000-sf store features a full, on-site pharmacy, fuel station and a free store pickup service.

With a new iPhone app, customers can refill prescriptions, create shopping lists and search for locations.

Walmart’s grand opening celebration included presentations of $8,000 in grants to local community groups, including the Spring/Klein Fire Department and a commitment to fight hunger in Spring and across the U.S.
