HOUSTON - A national multifamily developer is launching its first Class A apartment project in Houston.
Fore Property Co. purchased a city block on the northwest corner of Center St. and South Durham Dr., just north of Washington Ave.
The 1.1-acre site, which currently has a townhome and office building, is within walking distance to several popular restaurants on the Washington Ave. corridor.
The land deal—an assemblage of three properties—was brokered by Tom Dosch and David Marshall of ARA Newmark Houston.
Fore Property plans to build 1111 Durham, a six-story, 190-unit apartment midrise over three stories of underground parking.
The Class A units will average around 800 sf, with rents estimated around $1,760 per month.
The midrise project will feature a rooftop deck at the corner of Center St. and Durham Dr. with an outdoor fireplace and bar area.
Fore Property just wrapped up demolition work on the site.
It plans to start construction on the project shortly and deliver its first units in late 3Q2017.
