​​FRISCO – HCA North Texas will buy a bankrupt Forest Park Medical Center hospital for $96.25 million.

The Irving-based subsidiary of the Hospital Corporation of America agreed to a cash purchase in a deal expected to close by the end of March.

The hospital has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy since September. The deal is subject to approval by a bankruptcy court judge in a hearing scheduled for Feb. 18.​​​

HCA North Texas has 15 hospitals, seven off-campus emergency rooms, more than 50 ambulatory sites, and over 7,000 physicians and 15,000 employees in the DFW and Oklahoma City regions.
