CONVERSE, BEXAR COUNTY – Walmart has broken ground on a
Neighborhood Market that will add 95 jobs to the area.

The store, which will include a pharmacy, will be at the
intersection of Toepperwein Rd. and Kitty Hawk Dr.

Construction of the store is expected to cost almost $3.7
million, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and
Regulation.

Walmart has recently revealed plans for four Neighborhood
Markets in San Antonio.

The Neighborhood Market format is less than a
fourth the size of a supercenter and carries a smaller selection of merchandise
such as clothing and electronics.
