DALLAS-FORT WORTH – A look at the top homebuilders in North Texas shows not much change in the rankings over the last year, according to a study by Residential Strategies Inc.
The ten largest builders in the Dallas-Fort Worth area accounted for almost half of the single-family home starts in 2015, and most of the biggest builders had increases in local starts last year.
Fort Worth-based D.R. Horton continued to lead the big builder list with more than three times the construction of its closest competitor.
Horton and its Emerald and Express home divisions started 4,468 DFW houses last year, Residential Strategies reports.
DFW homebuilders started more than 27,000 homes in 2015, the best year for local building since before the Great Recession.
