HOUSTON – The Hyatt Place Houston Galleria is now open at 5252 W Alabama across from the Houston Galleria.
Songy Highroads owns the 157-room hotel, which is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. The 12-story Hyatt Place has a ten floors of guest rooms, consisting of both suites and standard rooms.
Songy Highroads also owns the new Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, a 325-room full-service hotel which opened in October.
The two hotels, located at the northwest corner of Sage and W Alabama, are part of a 7.6-acre mixed-use development along with two office towers and a retail center anchored by Regions Bank.
Songy Highroads sold the Galleria Place office and retail portion of the development to an affiliate of Dallas-based Lincoln Property Co. in 2015.
The new Hyatt Place Houston Galleria has a 24-hour fitness center, meeting space, business center, round the clock dining options, a market, and a lobby coffee shop and bar. Songy Highroads started the development in August 2014.
Construction of the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria began in late 2013. The majority of a shopping center was torn down to make way for the hotel developments.
Nearby, the DoubleTree Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria is undergoing a renovation. The work will transform the 380-room all-suite property into a 476-room hotel with an equal mix of suites and guest rooms.
