DALLAS-FORT WORTH – Texas home sales and prices reached an all-time high in 2015 according to the latest quarterly report from the Texas Association of Realtors.
Real estate agents sold more than 309,000 homes statewide in 2015—up about 4 percent from the year before and the first time that Texas home sales topped 300,000.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area had the largest number of fourth quarter sale of any Texas metro area as real estate agents sold 21,803 homes in the area, up 6.2 percent from a year earlier.
The median sales price was $210,700 in fourth quarter 2015, up 9.5 percent year-over-year.
