​​BEE CAVE – More than a year after International Development Management, or IDM, received approval for a $250 million re-do of The Backyard​​​ performance venue, new project renderings have been revealed.

Located off SH 71 and Bee Cave Pkwy, the project will have one million sf of saleable or leasable space. Plans include:

  • 3,000-plus-capacity venue for national ticketed acts;
  • additional smaller venue for local acts;
  • luxury residential condo project, Ethan’s View, that is being marketed by International Realty Co.;
  • 125-room boutique hotel, The Nelson, designed by Dick Clark + Associates;
  • private suite of rooms for performers, called The Patron, with parking for tour buses; 
  • 10,000-sf Bloom restaurant, also designed by Dick Clark + Associates; and
  • apiary to bring bees back to the city. 
Other companies involved in the project are Stream Realty Partners, Cravotta Interiors, Bercy Chen Studio, HFF, and Romspen Mortgage REIT.​
