HOUSTON – Locally based Greystar is partnering with Medistar Corp. on a 375-unit luxury apartment complex in the central portion of the Texas Medical Center.
The complex at 6750 Main St will share acreage and a first-floor lobby with Medistar’s 357-room hotel. Units will vary widely in size. The smallest units will have 349 sf, while the two largest suites will have 3,800 sf.
Construction is slated to begin within the next 60 days, and the project should deliver in first quarter 2018. Atlanta-based Preston Partnership is the architect. Hoar Construction is the general contractor.
Medistar’s 21-story hotel is being developed through a joint venture with TRC Capital Partners. It will come with 20,000 to 25,000 sf of office and meeting space. Groundbreaking is set for the beginning of the second quarter, and it should deliver in second quarter 2018.
