DALLAS-FORT WORTH - Financial services industries are driving much of North Texas’ office employment gains, according to a new report by CBRE.

Last year big leases by insurance firms Liberty Mutual and GEICO were at the top of a list of major office transactions for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Along with Raytheon’s move from Garland to Richardson, those were the three biggest office expansion and relocation deals in Texas in 2015, according to CBRE.

Only one month into the New Year, the region has already seen major announcements for large financial institutions in DFW, expected to bolster 2016 office absorption after new occupiers took down 5.2 million sf last year.
