HOUSTON - BASF Corp. will consolidate Houston-area offices into a new space in the Energy Corridor.

BASF leased nearly 110,000 sf of office space in Mac Haik Realty’s Energy Tower IV at 11750 Katy Fwy.

BASF will move into the space in the middle of the year. The exact number of BASF employees who will move to Energy Tower IV was not immediately available.

Across the Houston area, BASF has several chemical plants that employ a substantial number of people.

With the BASF deal, Energy Tower IV is now 61 percent leased.

The tower is the fourth and final Class A, LEED Gold-certified office building in the 2 million-sf Energy Plaza Project.

Last year, BASF Yara International ASA broke ground on a $600 million ammonia plant in Freeport, and BASF also announced Freeport as the site for its methane-to-propylene complex.
