DALLAS – Dallas-area home prices are up 9.4 percent from a year ago — the highest annual gain for Dallas in the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index in more than a year.

Nationwide home prices rose 5.3 percent in November from a year earlier and the Dallas area was one of the top five markets in the country for home price increases.
Dallas-area home prices are now almost 25 percent higher than they were at the peak of the last housing cycle in 2007.
