SPRINGWOODS VILLAGE - CHI St. Luke’s Health opened its seventh Houston-area hospital this week in Springwoods Village, home to Exxon Mobil Corp.’s 385-acre campus.

CHI St. Luke’s will be the exclusive health care provider in the master-planned community for the next five years, according to the company.

The $120 million medical campus broke ground in June 2014 and features a 150,000-sf, LEED Silver-certified hospital.

The first two floors of the hospital have opened for patient care and include the emergency department, inpatient beds, diagnostic imaging, operating rooms, endoscopy suites, pre-op rooms and a post-anesthesia care unit.

Floors three through six will open later this spring.

Springwoods Village is a 1,800-acre master-planned community 25 miles north of downtown Houston.

CHI St. Luke’s Health ranks fourth on the Houston Business Journal’s 2015 Largest Houston-Area Health Care Systems List, based on its 1,390 licensed local beds.
