​SAN ANTONIO – ​​Mississippi-based REIT EastGroup Properties Inc. is starting construction​ on an industrial and office development called Eisenhauer Point. 

EastGroup closed on the Windcrest-incorporated 38-acre plot along the I-35 corridor at Eisenhauer Rd.​ last year. The land is currently under construction for phase one of development.

Phase one, which will span around 16 acres, will deliver later this quarter and will include two multitenant office/warehouse buildings. One will be a 133,000-sf cross dock, while the other will be a 68,000-sf rear-loading facility. Work on both buildings is estimated to cost $5 million.

EastGroup also plans on setting aside three acres next door to the phase-one buildings for outside store facilities. The REIT plans for an additional four buildings totaling roughly 350,000 sf on the remaining 22 acres. 

Cavender & Hill Properties ​will manage the listing for Eisenhauer Point.
