Houston’s Broadway St. to undergo $7.5M revamp

​​HOUSTON – Scenic Houston has raised nearly $5 million in public and private money to revamp the landscaping and lighting along Broadway St., the road that connects Hobby Airport to I-45.

The two-mile-long stretch along Broadway is often the first glimpse travelers get of Houston. 

Scenic Houston has a $7.5 million plan to spruce up the road with new landscaping, 400 more trees, LED lights and sidewalk improvements.

The construction should begin in 2Q 2016 and be completed by year’s end.
