WACO – A new 22,000-sf Alfa Romeo and Fiat dealership at SH 6 and Bagby Ave. is expected to open this year.
The new Alfa Romeo-Fiat dealership going up at West Loop 340 and Bagby Ave., on Waco’s “Motor Mile,” likely will open in May.
The facility likely will employ between 30 and 40 people in the beginning and will have 225 to 250 new and used vehicles on display at any given time, said General Manager Billy Martin.
The new dealership is a spinoff of the Allen Samuels Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram dealership at 201 W. Loop 340 that also sells Fiats.
You can’t miss the construction site, which now sports a 100-foot-high flagpole and 30-by-60-foot American flag that is visible for miles. CWA Construction and Herb Cross are building the dealership for Samuels.
Hewlett Volkswagen in Georgetown still plans to place a Volkswagen dealership on Waco’s ‘Motor Mile,’ next to Greg May Hyundai at 1501 W. Loop 340.
The site was previously Waco Hyundai but was sold last year by the Sam Nay family to longtime auto dealer Greg May.
John Chauvin, general manager of Hewlett Volkswagen, said Hewlett will invest $3 million to $4 million to erect a 20,000-sf dealership.
