Eight Texas master-planned communities land in John Burns top 21

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – Texas delivered eight of John Burns Real Estate Consulting’s top 21 masterplans in the country with strong new home sales in 2015.
Together, the top 21 communities sold nearly 14,100 homes in 2015, which is around 3 percent of new, single-family home sales nationally. Combined sales increased by 12 percent over 2014.
Five of those eight master-planned communities are in Houston.
Rankings include:
- Johnson Development Corp.’s Riverstone in Houston — No. 5 with 609 net sales in 2015;
- Galo Properties’ Alamo Ranch in San Antonio — No. 7 with 560 net sales;
- D.R. Horton’s Westridge in Dallas — No. 11 with 500 net sales;
- Provident Realty Advisors’ Paloma Creek in Dallas — No. 15 with 450 net sales;
- Aliana Development Co.’s Aliana in Houston — No. 17 with 443 net sales;
- Land Tejas Co.’s Canyon Lakes West in Houston — No. 18 (tied) with 440 net sales;
- Friendswood Development Co.’s Wildwood at Northpointe in Houston — No. 18 (tied) with 440 net sales; and
- Johnson Development Corp.’s Woodforest in Houston — No. 20 (tied) with 415 net sales.
John Burns Real Estate Consulting considered over 230 communities nationwide to identify the top 21.
