J.P. Morgan Chase head ‘West’ for regional HQ
PLANO – J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. has signed a letter of intent to develop a new regional campus in the massive Legacy West development.
The banking and financial services company will move 6,000 of its North Texas employees to the $2 billion mixed-use development. The new campus will reduce J.P. Morgan Chase’s local real estate operating costs. With the savings, the company plans to reinvest in its campuses.
J.P. Morgan Chase has been shopping for 50 to 75 acres from Las Colinas to McKinney to the north end of the Dallas North Tollway for the past year. JLL and CBRE have been helping with the search.
The site will ultimately house a one million-sf campus for about half of the firm’s 12,000 North Texas employees. Construction is expected to begin this year.
