ROUND ROCK - The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department, City Council and the Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a groundbreaking ceremony officially kicking off the construction process for the Multipurpose Field Complex & Soccer Complex on Tuesday, January 12.
Once completed, the Multipurpose Field Complex will include four natural grass multipurpose fields and one natural grass championship field, four synthetic turf multipurpose fields and one synthetic turf championship field, parking, sports lighting, restroom/concessions building, spectator amenities, a playground and more.
The Soccer Complex Project will include renovation of the existing five soccer fields to create two multipurpose fields and three individual soccer fields, replacement of the existing topsoil and sod, and ADA upgrades to the complex.
Construction will begin immediately on the Multipurpose Field Complex and it will be open for play spring 2017.
The Soccer Complex will be open for play spring in 2018.
