Dick’s Sporting Goods to 83,000 SF at The Woodlands Mall

THE WOODLANDS – The Woodlands Mall is in the process of expanding its footprint to include national retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods and a new three-level parking garage.

With 160 retail stores and six anchor tenants already available, the two-level mall is expected to bring in even more shoppers with Dick’s Sporting Goods, which is expected to occupy more than 83,000 sf of space.

The three level parking garage will also provide additional parking to the existing 5,800 spaces available at the mall.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is expected to open in the beginning of 2016.

Gil Staley, CEO of The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership, said the additional store is going to be a big boom in sales tax.

The last expansion that took place was in 2004 and included the addition of a 150,000-sf outdoor section
