SAN ANGELO – The City of San Angelo’s Business and Industrial Park has achieved "Super Park" status, a five-year certification that enhances its marketability and improves the city’s inventory of industrial properties.
The park has 746.7 acres of land at Farm-to-Market Rd. 380 and Loop 306 at the northeast edge of town, complete with utilities and ready for development.
It has been designated as AEP Texas’ first certified "Super Park" site by McCallum-Sweeney Consultants.
"Companies are not willing to wait for a community to find an appropriate site and determine its suitability for development," said Lindsey Myers, senior consultant and director of site readiness programs for McCallum-Sweeny. "That due diligence needs to be completed in advance of a prospect visit."
"We believe this is an important step toward bringing new industry — and jobs — to San Angelo," said Anthony Wilson, the city’s public information officer.
