Waco: Coca-Cola pops top on $13.3M investment
WACO – Coca-Cola Refreshments received a tax abatement
incentive through the expansion of its Waco presence with a $13.3 million
investment of a new blow-molding line for in-house production of bottles within
its facility in the Texas Central Park.
The facility will retain 327 permanent, full-time positions.
In addition to Coca-Cola establishing its first Waco
manufacturing facility in 1995, Coca-Cola Enterprises constructed a 50,000-sf
regional distribution center to supply the central Texas market in 2007.
The expanded operations are a result of the
company’s continued growth in product demand and a long-established partnership
with the City of Waco, McLennan County and the Waco Industrial Foundation.
