LONGVIEW - Brookshire Grocery Co. has purchased about eight acres on the Fourth St. extension in Northeast Longview.

Tom Eberhart, co-owner of Eberhart-Miller Real Estate Services, has said Brookshire plans to build what he called a "flagship store" on the property that is part of the Park Central retail and office development.

The 50-acre development is bordered by Hinsley Park on the east and a new Hilton Garden Inn on the west.

A Super Sonic restaurant recently opened at the Fourth St. extension’s intersection with Hawkins Pkwy.

Brookshire spokeswoman Rebecca Sanders confirmed the company had closed on the property, but said it does not "currently have a defined banner or timeline on the site."

The five-lane Fourth St. extension will be a "high-traffic road," Eberhart said, and it’s an attractive area for development.
