HOUSTON – Manzel Contemporary Homes is building 29 townhomes in a new community called Museum’s Gate in the Museum District.

Located on about 1.3 acres on Portland St., near Main St. and just behind The Museum Tower, the townhomes will be on a cul-de-sac.

The four-story townhomes will range from 2,816 sf to 4,300 sf and cost between $795,000 to upwards of $1.2 million.

The first three homes in the community are finished.

Private elevators, operated through a pneumatic system, come standard, as well as a smart home system that allows homeowners to control security cameras, a dual-zone sound system and the lights from their smartphones or tablets.

The company plans to re-evaluate sales of its first seven homes before embarking on the remaining homes in early 2016.
