IRVING – A new development getting underway at the entrance to Las Colinas at on the northwest side of SH 114.
Instead of another office building or more apartments, the 14-acre property is being carved up into a single-family home community.
Houston-based Chesmar Homes is building the pocket-sized new home community in the shadow of Las Colinas' high-rise Urban Center.
The subdivision — called Fortune Court — will be an enclave of 59 single family detached homes.
"The first homes complete by the end of 2016," said Chesmar DFW president Randy McGillem. "We anticipate prices starting in the $400,000s."
