Lubbock: more room to roam at West End Shopping Center
LUBBOCK – Approximately 100,000 sf of new shopping center space is in the works in West Lubbock.
GRACO Real Estate Development Inc. recently started construction on phase two of the West End Shopping Center project near 34th St. and West Loop 289.
The second phase of the project will add five new pad sites along Loop 289 and offer new retail stores, restaurants and two hotels.
Retailers that have confirmed joining the West End Shopping Center include Nike Factory, Banana Republic Factory, Gap Factory, Sketchers Factory, Dress Barn, Charming Charlie, DXL Mens Apparel, Torrid and Aspen Creek restaurant.
One of the new hotels will be a ten-story building with a convention center.
New building construction should begin in about 30 days.
The West End will be about 350,000 sf, including its current tenants, Cabela’s that opened in May 2014 and Marshalls and HomeGoods, which opened April 2015.
Phase three of the project will begin after phase two is completed.
