FRISCO – City planners have approved proposals for a large residential community and a shopping center on part of the Brinkmann Ranch.
The 3,500-acre ranch, located on the north side of Main St. between Preston Rd. and Independence Pkwy., is one of the largest undeveloped areas in the city.
Newly approved designs call for construction of about 500 houses and a shopping center at the northwest corner of Main and Independence.
The residential community will contain both single-family and patio style homes. It will wrap around the 31-acre retail center to be built on the 171-acre corner.
Landon Homes will build on Brinkmann Ranch.
