PLANO – Aligned Data Centers plans to unveil its new $300 million, 30-megawatt data center complex that is expected to bring a new pay-for-use concept.
Aligned Data Centers recently completed construction on the 300,000-sf facility at 2800 Summit Ave.
The new Plano facility is part of a larger national expansion for the six-year-old company and will help launch the company’s pay-for-use concept that allows tenants to lease megawatts based on what they use instead of the typical leasing terms on a per megawatt basis.
Aligned Data Center executives plan to unveil the initial 100,000-sf phase of the new data center complex November 19.
The company has plans to expand the data center by another 200,000 sf in the future.
Dallas-Fort Worth has seen of an influx of data centers after Facebook landed its $1 billion data center campus in north Fort Worth.
The region is one of the top data center markets in the country.
