FORT WORTH – Farmer Brothers Coffee is in the midst of relocating its California headquarters to a new temporary office, which will help the coffee manufacturer and distributor get up and running in North Texas.

"This new office is about three miles from the place where we are building our new facility," CFO Isaac Johnston said.

The company has signed a lease for about 32,000 sf at 13601 North Fwy. in Fort Worth near Alliance Airport. Fort Worth-based Hillwood recently developed the Class A office building.

The temporary office will give Farmer Brothers the ability to strategically prepare for operations to get underway in North Texas following the completion of the new $65 million, 500,000-plus-sf corporate headquarters on more than 28 acres in Northlake.

The 103-year-old manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of coffee, tea and other food items has begun recruiting its new North Texas corporate employee base into the temporary office.

Most of the new corporate employees will be recruited in North Texas. The majority of those new hires will be in place by the end of first quarter 2016.

Construction of the new corporate campus is slated for completion by the end of 2016.
