Balfour Beatty Construction nails Fort Worth’s new 25-story Frost Tower
FORT WORTH – Balfour Beatty Construction has been selected by Anthracite Realty Partners and Bennett Benner Partners for the pre-construction and construction work on a new 25-story office and retail tower in downtown Fort Worth.
The construction firm has been shaping the 25-story, 323,415-sf Class AA office tower at 640 Taylor St., which will be branded Frost Tower after a big lease commitment from the Texas bank.
Plans for the office tower also include ground floor retail shops, an eatery with a 3,400-sf dining deck overlooking Sundance Square and Burnett Park, a roof garden and 12th floor sky lobby and conference center for office tenants.
The general contracting firm plans to use the latest construction practices and virtual design technology to deliver the tower, which is slated for completion in December 2017.
Upon completion, Frost Tower will be the seventh tallest building in Fort Worth and the first one to exceed 200 feet since 2009. The tower will also bring in 900 additional parking spaces into downtown Fort Worth.
