​​AUSTIN – ​​Go​vernor Greg Abbot has appointed Bob Leonard and Rayito Stephens as broker members of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). He has also reappointed T.J. Turner as a public member.

Leonard is a broker with Re/Max Associates in San Antonio. He is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR) Legal Review Committee and chairs the Public Policy Sub-Committee for Taxation. He also served on the TAR Board of Directors, Executive Board and various other committees and task forces. Leonard has represented Texas on the National Association of Realtors Board of Directors and Public Policy Coordinating Committee and is the chairman of the San Antonio Liaison Committee for Governmental Affairs.

Pearland broker Stephens has been active in many facets of the real estate industry, including home construction, tract and custom building and new home sales for major national builders. She specializes in housing needs for individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities including veterans and those with court-created trusts.

Turner is a partner with Cain & Skarnulis PLLC in Austin. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association. Turner served as a briefing attorney for the Eleventh Court of Appeals, Assistant General Counsel to the Governor of Texas and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas.

Their terms will end Jan. 31, 2021.
