Rowlett’s Terra Lago on the shore of Lake Ray Hubbard

​​​​​ROWLETT – Terra Lago — a high-end residential development located near Scenic Drive and SH 66 — has broken ground by Transcontinental Realty Investors Inc.

Terra Lago is a four-story 447-unit Mediterranean-style apartment complex located on the shore of Lake Ray Hubbard.

The city is planning to enhance this site by building a park and walking trail at this location and a water taxi that would transport guests to other points along the lake.

The property joins other high end developments as a part of the city’s Realize Rowlett 2020 initiative which envisions Rowlett’s shores to be transformed into "The Wellness Preserve," featuring aquatic habitats, a kayak/canoe launch, nature trails, boardwalk, playground, and fishing pier, among other amenities.

The first phase of Terra Lago will take approximately two years to build, with an anticipated opening of August 2017.
