​​BEAUMONT - Capital One Bank has closed its 510 Park St. offices and moved much of its commercial banking and trust operations to Edison Plaza, the 17-story skyscraper on the Neches River, which also is home to Entergy Texas, the Region five Education Service Center and a variety of other smaller professional offices.

The construction company since has shuttered its fabrication and its engineering offices, and the logo, which lit up at night, was taken down soon after Edison Plaza was acquired by Albanese/Cormier.

In an email, Capital One spokesman Steven Thorpe said the bank will move into Edison Plaza in early 2016.

The bank will continue to operate commercial banking and trust operations until then. It also will lease 15,000 sf at 510 Park St. that contains safety deposit boxes.

Capital One also had acquired Beaumont-based software company AmeriCommerce, which is in the tower at Calder Ave. and 10th St.

Capital One will occupy an entire floor of Edison Plaza, which is more than 25,000 sf.
