Billion Mile" — has officially traded hands. The Wade Family
estate had owned the land since the 1800s and held onto it until Wade Park was
proposed by Thomas Land Development. The $1.6 billion mixed-use
development is planned to contain a Whole Foods Market grocery store,
Hotel Zaza, Langham Hotels, iPic Theatres and Pinstripes Bowling. Construction is
underway on the site's first phase, which is slated to open in 2016. In all, Wade Park's
plans include two luxury hotels, more than 600,000 sf of luxury retail and
dining space, about 1,300 apartments and more than 6 million sf of office
space. | Dallas Business Journal
