FORT WORTH – A California-based real estate investment firm has landed its first major lease at a growing Fort Worth-based distribution firm months after acquiring a portfolio of former RadioShack properties.

Chain Link Services LP, a distributor of goods to restaurant and food service companies, has leased roughly 310,000 sf at 1000 Terminal Rd. in Fort Worth, which is about half of the 628,000-sf distribution hub.

The lease is nearly 40 percent larger than the Fort Worth-based firm’s current headquarters at 4675 Railhead Rd. and a smaller, secondary location totaling about 60,000 sf.

As RadioShack exited the Fort Worth market, it left about 1.5 million sf of inventory on the market, including:
•    a 132,000-sf warehouse at 401 NE 38th St.
•    a 136,570-sf warehouse at 3131 W. Bolt St.
•    a 660,000-sf distribution center at 900 Terminal Rd.
•    a 628,000-sf warehouse at 1000 Terminal Rd.
•    a seven-acre tract between the 38th St. and 900 Terminal Rd. properties.
