DALLAS-FORT WORTH - North Texas is near the top of the list of U.S. cities with the most office and industrial building demand, according to Cushman & Wakefield's U.S. Office & Industrial Report third quarter 2015.

Through the first nine months of 2015, the DFW area ranked second in the country in net office leasing, behind only San Jose, California.

So far in 2015, expanding and relocating tenants have leased an additional 11 million sf of North Texas warehouse space and 4 million sf of net office leasing.

Southern California and the Chicago area are the largest net warehouse leasing markets this year; Seattle is third behind San Jose and DFW for office demand.

"Job growth indicators remain robust for office-using industries and strong leasing activity combined with lagging new construction will keep upward pressure on rental rates," Cushman & Wakefield said in its new MarketBeat report.
