SAN MARCOS - Stonemont Financial Group and The Preiss Co. have teamed up to revive and complete an unfinished off-campus housing project located north of the Texas State University campus.
Construction on the 817 Lofts originally started in 2013 and was scheduled to be completed by August 2014 before the project stalled out.
Stonemont Financial picked up the dormant project in September with plans to carry on its development. Rebranded as Ella Lofts, the complex will house 252 beds with one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom loft floorplans at 817 Chestnut St.
Ella Lofts will also include a fitness center, infinity pool, outdoor courtyards and group study areas. Ella Lofts is scheduled to deliver in August 2016 with leasing already underway.
The monthly rent per student will be $499.
