Real Estate Center strikes silver

The annual competition recognizes creative work by professional communicators in 13 U.S. states, the Caribbean and Latin America.

The Real Estate Center won for its flagship periodical Tierra Grande magazine, its weekly Red Zone podcast​ and design of its annual report, renowned for its calendar of exceptional Texas photographs. 

“Great research that cannot be communicated and used is worthless,” said Center Director Gary Maler. “Standing alongside some of the finest institutions and corporations in the world to accept three Silver Quills underscores just how talented our staff is.”

Among this year’s Silver Quill winners are: Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, Emery Healthcare, Honeywell Aerospace, North Central Texas Council of Governments, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Time Warner Cable, UPS, Walmart and the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Kansas.

Since 1979, the Real Estate Center has won more than 200 local, regional, national and international awards for communications expertise, including 26 Silver Quills and two Gold Quills, IABC’s highest international award.
