Lubbock: The Vineyards ripen into apartment community

LUBBOCK – Stellar Developments Co. has begun construction on a new affordable housing community in Southwest Lubbock.

The new luxury apartment community, The Vineyards of Monterey, will offer 96 new apartment units.

The Vineyards — located on five acres on the corner of 94th St. and Milwaukee Ave. — is estimated to cost about $14 million.

The project will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units and will be available to residents who earn up to 60 percent of the area median income.

The new property will also include a business center, fitness facility, clubroom, garages, a playground, covered parking and balconies. Construction is expected to be completed in about eight months.
