FRISCO – Toyota Stadium is receiving a $39 million addition — a more than 100,000-sf facility that will house the National Soccer Hall of Fame Museum, new locker rooms, premium seats and a private club area.

Along with the expansion, the ten-year-old soccer stadium in Frisco will get a number of upgrades.

The three-level, 100,000-sf expansion will include the 23,546-sf museum of U.S. Soccer hardware from the Women’s World Cup, Gold Cup and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophies, as well as other historic U.S. memorabilia and Olympic medals.

The museum includes an event center that cater to private dinners with 1,000 attendees.

The southern portion of the stadium — which is home to bleacher seats — will get a makeover that includes upgraded seating to luxury, padded seats covered by a roof.

Toyota Stadium’s expansion will include a private club for pregame dining, a concourse level with a 7,000-sf outdoor party deck and an outdoor bar, concession stands and a new team store.

Other upgrades to the stadium include improved HD video boards, a new sound system, a new skyway connecting the West side suites to the new premium amenities and new locker rooms to accommodate professional soccer teams or football teams at Frisco Independent School District.

Construction is slated to begin in early 2016, with completion slated by the end of 2017.
