Odessa: $15M Sewell Ford-Lincoln dealership changing lanes
ODESSA – Odessa auto dealer Collin Sewell expects to break ground on his new flagship dealership off Hwy. 191 sometime in December.
The new Sewell Ford-Lincoln dealership will be at the intersection of Parks Legado Rd. and Hwy. 191, just east of Sewell’s Parks Legado Town Center development.
The dealership itself will be about 30,000 sf, including a café and a retail area called E.F. Outfitters, named after Sewell’s great-grandfather Edward Franklin Sewell, who owned a hardware store. The retail shop will sell goods such as hunting gear and clothing.
The dealership will also include a turf putting green and an outdoor area for customers similar to the plaza at the Parks Legado retail hub.
The service and parts facility will be about 50,000 sf and will be the only climate-controlled and air conditioned service facility of its size between Phoenix and Fort Worth.
Sewell estimated the project will require adding about 50 more employees to the existing companywide staff of more than 350.
Plans submitted to the City of Odessa for the project estimate a construction cost of about $15 million.
