PEARLAND – FloWorks International broke ground on a 225,000-sf building that will consolidate its area operations to Pearland and create 80 jobs in the process.

The facility will include office, distribution and warehouse space and a seven-acre pipe yard.

It will be located on 41 acres just north of the northwest corner of Texas 35 and Bailey Rd.

The site is part of a 121.6-acre reinvestment zone created by the City of Pearland in 2012. The Pearland Economic Development Corp., Brazoria County and the City of Pearland have been working with FloWorks on the project since late 2013.

The project is being built on excess land owned by the Pearland Independent School District. The land, which was part of 97 acres owned by the district, was sold as part of a cooperative intergovernmental deal, according to the Pearland Economic Development Corp.
