Jetta will occupy about 70,000 sf of the 313,000-sf, Class-AA glass-and-steel office tower at Taylor and West 5th streets. The tower will have 274,000 sf of rentable office space, 920 above- and below-grade parking spaces, 6,000 sf of ground-level retail and about 32,000 sf of amenities on the 12th and 13th floors. Those will include a restaurant, conference and events center and terraces with views of the city's skyline.
Jetta's real estate arm, Anthracite Realty Partners, is overseeing the development with Stream Realty Partners. 640 Taylor will be the first high-rise development in the city's central business district since 2008. Construction is slated to begin next quarter 2015 with completion in 2017.
