​​​​​​​SHERMAN – Sherman’s shortage of industrial buildings available for
development will soon be lessened somewhat thanks to the impending
addition of a 60,000-sf commercial warehouse in Midway Industrial Park —
east of Midway Mall on Fallon Dr.

Thanks to an incentive
agreement approved by the Sherman Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors, Midway Warehouses LLC is planning to construct the warehouse
that will be made available for commercial development.

“This is
being built strictly as a spec building,” Joe Passanisi, operations
manager for Midway Warehouses, said. “It has the ability to be broken
into smaller pieces or (be used for) one large tenant. We’ll do anything
from a 10,000-sf tenant up to the full 60,000 sf.”

The SEDCO
incentive agreement will pay Midway Warehouses $500 per month for 60
months once the building is completed. When the building finds a tenant,
Midway Warehouses will begin the process of reimbursing SEDCO at a rate
of $2.20 per sf of leased space.

Midway Warehouses has 180 acres of additional space available for development in Midway Industrial Park.
